We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with extensive experience in developing trading systems, ideally within a hedge fund, investment bank, or cryptocurrency-focused environment. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience leading the architecture and development of high-performance trading platforms, with a strong emphasis on scalability, security, and performance in financial markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced trading systems, focusing on algorithmic trading, market making, and liquidity management.
- Work directly with the management team to align technical strategies with business objectives and market needs.
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring trading platforms are optimized for low-latency execution and real-time analytics.
- Manage cloud infrastructure utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS, and implement Grafana for performance monitoring and real-time system health tracking.
- Collaborate with business and product teams to align technical strategies with business goals, ensuring platforms meet the demands of the fast-paced trading environment.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a distributed, remote team of engineers.
- Ensure robust risk management and security practices are integrated into trading systems.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in developing trading systems at a hedge fund, investment bank, or cryptocurrency trading platform.
- Strong technical expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Python, JavaScript, AWS, and Grafana.
- Deep understanding of financial markets, trading algorithms, and the infrastructure that supports low-latency trading.
- Experience managing remote teams and driving productivity in a distributed work environment.
- Familiarity with blockchain or cryptocurrency ecosystems, with experience integrating digital assets into trading platforms.
Good to have:
- Experience with C++ for performance-critical applications.
- Proficiency in data engineering tools such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging/streaming platforms for real-time data processing.
- Expertise in crypto or DeFi trading markets.
