Weekend Trader / TradeOps Specialist
We are seeking a Weekend Trader / TradeOps Specialist to support our market-making operations and provide critical coverage over weekends. This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their exposure to crypto trading in a fast-paced environment. You will work 4 days a week (primarily covering weekends), ensuring optimal market liquidity and operational continuity for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Weekend Coverage: Monitor and manage trading activities across various cryptocurrency exchanges, primarily on weekends (Friday–Monday), to maintain market liquidity and minimize downtime.
- Trade Operations: Assist in placing and adjusting orders, analyzing market data, and executing strategies to ensure consistent performance and risk management.
- Real-Time Monitoring: Track market movements, liquidity conditions, and order book dynamics; flag anomalies or potential issues for immediate resolution.
- Operational Support: Collaborate with the core trading team to implement updates, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize trading systems over the weekend.
- Client Communication: Provide periodic updates on trading activity and market insights to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely response to queries.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Maintain logs of weekend trading performance, market conditions, and any incidents, contributing to internal reviews and process improvements.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in crypto trading, brokerage, or related TradeOps roles. (Experience with market-making is a plus.)
- Basic understanding of cryptocurrency market structure, order types, and liquidity management.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfortable with trading platforms, APIs, and market data analysis tools.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to operate effectively under weekend and after-hours market conditions.
- Excellent Communication: Able to provide clear, concise updates and collaborate with team members across different time zones.
- Weekend Availability: Must be able to commit to a 4-day work schedule that includes weekend shifts.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with algorithmic trading and automation tools.
- Basic programming skills (e.g., Python) to streamline data analysis and reporting.
- Exposure to both centralized and decentralized exchanges.
